The advancements in technology have made it possible for people to fit the lifestyle of their dreams. Apple made the first step in introducing the touch computers. Their advancement has, however, turned to be their jinx. Many manufacturers are embracing the concept and the number of Android tablets in the market today exceeds Apples expectations. The overall performance of the Android tablets has been found to be almost double of Apple’s product; iPad. Below is a list of the top and inevitable Android tablets for the advanced technology lovers.
1. Acer Mystery Tablet
This is one of the few devices that people would not do without. It is among the many gadgets that have pushed Apple to the wall. Its debut was in April this year with its performance reaching unimagined heights. It is powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and has a screen size of 10.1 inches. 10.1 Flash is supported. Additionally, the tablet has two cameras on the back and front. HDMU output port is also availed. Experts picture it as the best tablet for media and game playing.
2. Archos 5 and 7 Home Tablet
This is another inevitable tablet for touch screen computer lovers. The device is a bit old in the market having been released in June last year. However, the performance is superb. It is smaller than the iPad and has a TFT LCD screen of 7 inches with a reolution of 800 x 480. It is armed with a 600MHz, Arm Rockchip RK2808 processor and runs the Android OS. Its retail price rests at $200.
The Archos 5 on the other hand has a screen size of 5 inches. It is faster than the Archos 7 with its processor lying at 800MHz using the OMAP 3430 processor. It is more expensive at about $250.
3. ASUS Eee-Pad Transformer, ASUS Eee-Pad Slider
This is the perfect option for the lovers of the ASUS Netbooks. The price is the same as that of the iPad. It has a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 on its 10.1 inch screen. It is further powered by the Nvidia Tegra processor and runs the Android 3.0. The ASUS Eee-Pad Slider uses the QWERTY keyboard which can be slide. It has a 5MP LED flash camera on the back and 1.2MP camera in the front. The two are the perfect alternative for the iPad.
4. Dell Streak
The Dell Streak 7 and 10 versions are scheduled for later in the year. The existing Dell Streak tablet uses the Snapdragon processor which gives it a better hand when compared to the iPad. The 7 and 10 versions are deemed to employ the dual core processor that will catapult their performance significantly. The front is made of Gorilla Glass. The tablet also has the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities and supports the 10.1 flash.
5. Motorola Xoom
This is a tablet with double of almost everything on the iPad. It has processing speed double that of the iPad and the variety of features availed exceed the iPad significantly. In addition to that, it has a flash support as well as more features. Experts envision it to be the killer of the iPad. The variety of available applications is huge as compared to iPad. With the 4G scheduled for later in the year, the Motorola Xoom goes for $800.
6. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G
This is a perfect option for the high speed browsing lovers. The problem, however, is that it is still absent in the market. It runs the Android OS using the 1.2GHz Hummingbird processor. It has a 5 MP camera on the rear. When it comes to the use of Wi-Fi, it can support up to 5 devices at the same time. The downside lies in the slowed performance when running the Flash applications.
7. Smartbook AG Surfer 360
The tablet uses the Tegra 2 dual core processor. Its screen is 10 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The total weight is 1.5 pounds and has a memory of 528 MB DDR2 and a flash memory of 512 MB. It is equipped with the mini USV and Micro SD slot. 2.1 Bluetooth technology is also present as well as a capacitive touch screen with a 1.3 MP webcam. Wi-Fi is also included. The retail price is deemed to rest at $500.
8. Toshiba Folio
The tablet has a screen size of 10.1 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The internal memory is 16 GB and is powered by the Nvida Tegra 2 processor if 1GHz. It runs the 2.2 OS.
